Student Orientation
Student and Family Orientation
No matter where your Northeastern journey begins, you'll start your first year with a new student orientation. Orientation will connect with your classmates and academic advising team, introduce you to student clubs and organizations, and help you access the resources you need to begin charting your Northeastern path. Orientations are comprised of online modules completed during the summer, as well as in-person events before or as you move to campus.
Boston Campus Orientation
Incoming undergraduate students on the Boston campus and their families will receive Husky Happenings email communications from the Office of Boston Orientation and Family Programs with critical information and next steps in the Husky 101 Boston Orientation process. These emails will arrive throughout the summer before moving to campus.
Oakland Campus Orientation
Incoming undergraduate students on the Oakland campus and their families will receive email newsletters from the Oakland Orientation office. These emails will arrive throughout the summer and will contain information on pre-arrival tasks and move-in logistics. On-campus student orientation in Oakland takes place immediately following move-in.
London Scholars, New York City Scholars, and The N.U.in Program Orientation
Students enrolling in our global first-year programs, including London Scholars, New York City Scholars, and The N.U.in Program will take part in a Pre-Departure Orientation prior to traveling to their program location at the start of the fall semester. Pre-Departure Orientation is offered as a series of webinars, mandatory online modules, and an optional one-day in-person experience on Northeastern’s Boston campus. Upon arrival in the fall, students will also have an on-site orientation and welcome activities to help them acclimate to their program location.
